What does it mean to register a .aero domain name using the Pending Create functionality?
The Pending Create functionality is designed to improve service and facilitate the registration process by allowing registrants to temporarily reserve a name, while they await approval for their .aero credentials. Registrants seeking to register a .aero domain name via an accredited .aero registrar, will have the ability to do so without an existing, approved Aviation Community Membership ID and password. Domains created in this manner will be placed in a Pending Create status and will be locked until such time that the registrants .aero credentials are verified and either approved or denied by SITA. Once approved, the domain will be activated and the sponsoring registrar will be notified via e-mail. If the domain has been denied or additional information has been requested, the sponsoring registrar will also be notified and receive a copy of the letter, which has been sent to their customer.
