GAMA announces launch of "www.GAMA.aero"

WASHINGTON, DC, The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced today the launch of its new website utilizing the .AERO domain. The new site, www.GAMA.aero, is one of the first in the world to use the Internet domain name dedicated to a specific industry and is exclusively reserved for aviation and aerospace-related entities and individuals.

The site has several tools that will facilitate information sharing and collaboration among GAMA's committees and its member companies in an easy to use and fast format.

Geneva International Airport trials new web access tool during ITU Telecom

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – 9th October 2003 – Travellers using Geneva International Airport are the first to be offered the use of a new prototype web-service to check their flight status. The pilot programme is timed to take place throughout the prestigious ITU Telecom World 2003, 12th-18th October.

Germany menaced by 50m insect!

Anyone with a large garage in the small town of Arlesburg in Germany may be able to make a fortune from a different source.

According to Google Earth, there's a 50m long earwig threatening the town from the north-east, currently munching its way across a corn field and heading for the cover of a nearby forest.

A sharp-eyed visitor to Google Earth spotted the earwig, which presumably crept into the picture while no-one was looking. Perhaps this is Arlesburg's attempt at gaining fame and fortune.
